The Ten through The Two

1. “You shall have no other gods before Me.”
Through the red words I hear: Love God above all else. Not just avoid idols, but make God the center of your heart and purpose.
“You cannot serve both God and money.” (Matthew 6:24)

To me, Jesus wants us to love one another as we love ourselves, as he love us. If you have the means and the money, help those who have less than you. Don’t love your money more than you love yourself or your neighbors. We literally live in neighborhoods. It’s coded in our DNA to love one another. We always find each other and choose to build our homes surrounded by our neighbors. Why can’t we just love like Jesus does? If you have love in your heart for all,
Then you know my lord, you may call it by a different name, and thats ok. Love is the spirit we all follow and it goes by many names.

2. “You shall not make for yourself a carved image.”
Through the red words: Worship in spirit and truth, not through symbols or rituals alone.
“God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” (John 4:24)

It doesn’t matter to our Lord what you need to call Him to understand Him and His message, as long as the spirit that leads you is one of love and empathy. If you act Christ-like, our Lord will see your light and protect you. If we love our neighbors like Jesus does, peace for all will follow.

3. “You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain.”
Through the red words: Honor God not just in words, but through integrity in your actions.
“Let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ be "No." (Matthew 5:37)

To me, the idea of God and Jesus is most beautiful. I hold them close to my heart and I will always try my best to live as Jesus commanded me to, with love and empathy, acceptance and judgment-free. But “God” is not a name, nor is “Lord.” Those are titles, just like “Allah” is. Jesus is the name in our hearts, as is Yeshua. Some people call their Holy Spirit by a different name and celebrate Him differently. If it is love of neighbor, caring for the sick, feeding the hungry, welcoming the stranger, they too are living Christ-like.

We cannot force anyone to love our Lord, our Jesus, because forcing love corrupts His love. Then it is no longer His love, no longer His empathy. It becomes something wicked and His light does not shine upon it. We are inherently judging others based on their color or creed out of fear, and Jesus commands us not to judge. He commands us to act with a servant’s heart and love our neighbors as Jesus loves us.

I do have my opinions. My opinions are not judgments of the person, for they are a child of our Lord. I judge the actions and weigh them with love and empathy. If the actions hurt our Lord’s children and are rooted in hate, they are not the actions of our Lord. Just as Jesus had His opinions when He flipped the tables. The “tables” represent anything that profits from or corrupts what is holy, even in our hearts.

This also means say “yes” to love, no matter the spirit you follow. His light will shine within you. When you say “no” to love, you accept hate into your heart. And with hate, judgment follows, and His light will not shine upon you.

4. “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.”
Through the red words: Rest in God continually. The Sabbath is made for our renewal, not as a burden.
“The Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath.” (Mark 2:27–28)

To me, no one is on the same schedule. I don’t see how every single human being on our planet can take a Sunday off. Do you? What I believe this means is: remember to take a break and take a breather. When you do so, you will take a deep breath in and exhale His spirit. We give thanks to our Lord by the love we show and by doing as He commanded with His red words. Do not sweat the little things. If we love one another like Jesus commands us to, everyone will rest easier and lift each other out of hate.

5. “Honor your father and your mother.”
Through The Red Words: Respect and care for family. Love and serve them as you would serve God.
“Honor your father and your mother” … “Love your neighbor as yourself.” (Matthew 19:19)

To me, this one was hard because there is so much pain attached to it for me due to my childhood. But I live my life through the red words, I forgave my abusers, and I still love my abusers but i can not and will not bring myself to speak to them. I walk around with a broken frown from the abuse. I hurt all over, inside and out. I relive every single moment, every single word, every single hit... day in and day out, with every single nightmare, and with no real escape.

I live with my broken body, with my imperfections, and I still forgive them, that doesnt mean i have to speak to them. I forgave them for myself.

They do not know me. My family knows me, knows my heart.. and that family is the family i built by my hands, by surviving my nightmares, and followning christ, and living christ-like. Its the family my lord commanded me to build and honor.

How i look at it...

We are both born into our families and we create our own families. God and Jesus want you to protect your divine light and your peace, even if that means cutting all ties with those who try to extinguish our Lord’s light with the hate in their hearts. Because I feel any actions that are proclaimed to be in the name of our Lord out of hate and judgment are false proclamations, and His light does not shine upon them.

6. “You shall not murder.”
Through the red words: Avoid not only killing, but also anger, hatred, or contempt.
“Anyone who is angry with a brother or sister will be subject to judgment.” (Matthew 5:22)

To me, Jesus absolutely does not want us to kill each other or hate each other with anger. You have a divine right to protect yourself from hate and death and enslavement. Every single human being is a creation of our God. Every single person. Zero exceptions. We can disagree and not hate and kill each other. We can disagree and still feed the hungry, heal the sick, welcome the stranger.

When it comes to abortions... I do not like them. But I understand a women's need to protect her peace, because she too has a divine right to life.  I do NOT believe a women goes into an abortion clinic or her doctors office with the intent of hate. She loves that little cluster of cells as jesus loves her... Her partner typically does too. Its about her consent, because even god asked for consent through Gabriel, to bring Jesus/Yeshua into this world.

That tell me she has the divine right to choose for herself. The decision is already soaked in pain and fear, and it is one of many way our lord test us. We are called and commaned to love her, as we love our lord, and living through Christ and his red words, she too will be loved, and heal.

7. “You shall not commit adultery.”
Through the red words: Faithfulness begins in the heart. It’s purity of mind and soul.
“Anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” (Matthew 5:28)

To me, rape, sexual assault, sexual abuse, and abuse are absolutely forbidden. You do not steal the innocence of our Lord’s children. All men and women are children of our Lord. Men do not lust after women. Men respect women. That also means listen to them and treat them as equal to man.

8. “You shall not steal.”
Through the red words: Give rather than take. Share what you have with those in need.
“If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor.” (Matthew 19:21)

To me,
Stealing for personal gain, is forbidden, if your stealing to survive, to keep your divine light lit, trust in the lord and he will provide, because his light still shines in you. If we love one another, and live christ like, through his Red Words, we take care of each other, then there would be no reason to steal.

if you have the means, help. No one is perfect. Love as Jesus does and welcome the stranger, feed the poor, heal the sick, clothe the needy. It’s really just that simple.

You do not need billions. If any of our lord children are hungry, homeless, sick, or poor, no matter color or creed, true believers in Christ follow the red words.

Non-believers in Christ are still welcomed if they live Christ-like, with love for their neighbors. God our Father will see His Son’s light within their hearts and welcome them if they choose to enter our heaven.

9. “You shall not bear false witness.”
Through the red words: Be truthful and just. Speak words that build up, not tear down.
“Out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks.” (Matthew 12:34)

To me, we are flawed. We make mistakes. Take accountability for your actions and grow in truth. Everyone tells little lies and has their secrets. The lies our God, & Jesus are concerned with are the lies that hurt our Gods children, sow doubt, breed hate. Our Lord commands us to love, not hate. Do not twist love into hate for personal gain.

10. “You shall not covet.”
Through the red words: Be content and thankful. Seek treasures in heaven, not on earth.
“Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” (Matthew 6:21)

To me, this means don’t be greedy. Give to those who have less than you. Help those who need the help and judge them not, for they are a child of our Lord. Feed those who have less. Take those who wander, like our Lord did in the desert, in and welcome the stranger. Love our neighbors like Christ loves us.

Jesus viewed the commandments through love. Love for God in commandments one through four, and love for others in commandments five through ten. He fulfilled the law by embodying perfect love, compassion, and truth.

I believe in this... its what I feel in my heart...  But we all forget the last one John 13:34

“If you love Me, keep My commandments.” — John 14:15

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you.” — John 13:34
